Dublin Comic Con Anime Edition Guest Lineup

Dublin Comic ConFrom the organisation that brings fans, Dublin Comic Con and Games Expo Ireland comes the first Dublin Comic Con: Anime Edition (DCC: AE) this Easter on March 31st/April 1st. DCC: AE is set to be Ireland’s largest Anime event and will bring you all the fun and entertainment that Dublin Comic Con is known for, just with a bit more Anime sprinkled on top. From amazing guests and panels to cosplay competitions and interactive sets for photo ops., DCC: AE will have everything that Anime and Comic Con fans could wish for. The guests have all been announced and bring with them a plethora of experience in the industry.

Tara Strong is one of the top names in voice acting and has over 500 titles to her name (no really, she has. See here). Tara has leant her voice to productions from TV Shows, Animated Features and Video Games such as My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, The Fairly Odd Parents, The Powerpuff Girls, Princess Mononoke, DC SuperHero Girls, Justice League Action TV Series, and the Batman: Arkham Video Games. She has also reprised her role as Raven in the upcoming Teen Titans Go! to the Movies!

Brooklyn born and raised singer/songwriter Eric Stuart will also be in attendance and he is a special blend of talent. He has successfully combined the world of music, voice acting and directing for many years and has starred in hit shows including Pokémon (Brock, James), Slayers (Gourry Gabriev), and Yu-Gi-Oh! (Seto Kaiba). Eric has had an extensive career so far and is also known for voicing many national radio/TV commercials and audiobook narrations.

Known for voice and on screen acting, DC Douglas has appeared in productions such as Resident Evil, Mass Effect, Tekken 6, Hajime no Ippo, Family Guy and Fire Emblem: Fates. On screen performances include Sharknado 2, Star Trek: Enterprise, Z Nation and Isle of the Dead. DC will also be bringing The DC Douglas Notorious [Zombie Related] Erotic Fanfic Show to us for a special after hours show. The show is for ages 17+ and will consist of DC embarking on an erotic fanfic journey of humour with the help of the “evil resident” audience members. More details on this after hours show will be released soon and just remember – what happens at the show, stays at the show.
Dublin Comic Con Guest

Joining us in Dublin for Easter is Alaskan born, California based voice actress Kira Buckland. Kira began her voice acting career by taking it up as a hobby for online projects and quickly moved onto voice several notable roles in Anime and games. She has leant her voice to productions such as NieR: Automata, Fire Emblem: Heroes, Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice, Tales of Zestiria, Danganronpa 2 and V3, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Love Live: School Idol Project, Accel World, Blue Exorcist, Sailor Moon and many more. Kira also cosplays under the name “Lady Stardust”, and is a huge fan of the manga series “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”. She is also the founder of the Voice Acting Club, a forum linking voice talent and content creators around the world.

We like to cater to all our fans, so along with all of these amazing Anime guests, we also have Brent Spiner and Seth Gilliam in attendance. Brent Spiner is an American actor, comedian, and singer best known for his portrayal of the android Lieutenant Commander Data in the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation and four subsequent films. His portrayal of Data in Star Trek: First Contact and of Dr. Brackish Okun in Independence Day, both in 1996, earned him a Saturn Award and Saturn Award nomination respectively. He has appeared in many other television shows and movies during his career including Big Bang Theory, Phenomenon, The Aviator, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Guild, and Warehouse 13. You may know Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel from the Walking Dead, Dr. Alan Deaton from Teen Wolf, Sgt Ellis Carver from The Wire, Sugar from Starship Troopers and Dr. Ira Wallace in Elementary with Lucy Lui and Johnny Lee Miller.
